Effect of the Pranoprofen in Surgical Extractions and Open Reduction of Facial Bone Fractures


Abstract
The authors investigated and evaluated the effects and untoward effect of recently devloped non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics "Pranoprofen" in field of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
The 19 Cases of examined 30 patients were surgical extractions and the rests of examined 30 patients were facial bone fractures.
The results were as fellows.
1. Effective analgesic action was obtained in 28 patients (93.3%).
2. The gastrointestinal trouble was occurred in 4 patients (13.3%) but the symptome was not severe and disappeared soon after discontinuation of the drug.
3. So, this drug can be used effectively and safely in minor surgery of oral and maxillofacial area.
